Is there a smartwatch that can connect to PC?
Main Post:
I want a smartwatch to be able to monitor my heartrate. But is there any watch which is pairable to a desktop PC? I would love to display my heart rate on my recordings, but I don't want to buy two separate devices to monitor my heart rate when I'm doing sports and when I want to display it on my PC.
If anyone has or knows a watch like this, I'd love it hear it!
Top Comment: Some garmin's have a gaming mode - basically can throw up HR etc on screen using a gaming app, for when gaming. https://www.garmin.com/en-GB/c/sports-fitness/gaming/ They also offer a HR Broadcast mode - which can display HR on other screens - but not sure whether can do that with a pc screen. https://support.garmin.com/en-GB/?faq=Zj1947s6pqAHzBCAhLhrC9
When I am streaming on a PC and someone is watching from a mobile device it makes my game unplayable??
Main Post:
Just as the title states, I tried streaming in my server over the past two days and any time the viewer is on a PC there is no issue, but if they are on a mobile device it makes it impossible to do anything in game or otherwise until they stop watching. Anyone encountered this before?

Dive Computer/Watches?
Main Post:
Hey divers, I am looking for a good dive watch/Computer. I am an Advanced diver, but have never owned a dive watch! I dive a good for five - six times a year maybe more. I don't really like the bulky computers, so I was looking at the Garmin G1 or the Scuba pro A1. Price range would be around $500-600 (would be awesome if there was a decent on under $500), don't really wanna spend too much for my first dive watch. THANKS GUYS!
Top Comment: Shearwater is the right answer. Great interface and screen visibility. Lots of customization. Peregrine or tern (non-ai) would be a great choice for you. Easily two of the best recreational computers on the market. The company only makes computers and has incredible customer service. About 400 dives in my screen started to fog, so I sent it in and the sent me a completely new computer and kept my old one to troubleshoot and figure out why it fogged. Just really great people at the company.
Does anyone use a PC as their tv?
Main Post:
I recently upgraded to a new build and noticed my old build was just collecting dust. I ended up hooking my old pc up to a monitor and a 40 something inch tv. I have the monitor set up on a coffee table in front of a couch in my room and my TV is set up so that’s it’s visible from the couch and my bed. It’s honestly so fire. I’ve been chilling on my couch playing controller games while watching a stream, YouTube video, or tv show/movie on my tv display. It’s awesome because it’s much more powerful than a console or smart tv and I can do more way more. The only downside is that I haven’t found a comfortable way to use a mouse and keyboard. I’m thinking of maybe using one of those tv dinner snack tray things.
Anyway, I’m just curious if anyone else is rocking a similar set up?
Top Comment: Lots of people use old builds as media PCs. It's really not that uncommon

How do you all watch movies?
Main Post:
Hey, so I've been wondering how pc enthusiasts watch movies. On your pc? Connecting your pc's to tv? Ect. Does having or being into pcs changed other tech for you?For example I can't go back to having seperate devices for work and play, I use pc as tv,school/college papers and as gaming pc. I'am currently watching movies and shows on pc, but have been thinking of getting a tv and connecting it like a second monitor on the wall for movies and when I want to play console style. Thoughts?
Note: I hope I tagged this correctly, and sorry for bad englisch.
Update; Thank you all for help, I decided to try connecting old tv to the pc since I don't need cable, the room is small so I will see how that goes, next options are projector or VR, again thank you
Top Comment: Well, I’m a PC enthusiast, but I recognize that PCs aren’t a very good way to consume film-related content, so I watch them on my TV. I either stream from a service, stream from my local Emby server, or watch them on UHD bluray if I lost my mind enough to purchase one and I’m feeling particularly fancy that day.

Is it ok to use a smartwatch to build a PC
Main Post:
Kind of a random and dumb question but I was wondering if using a smartwatch (Apple watch 7) could cause some static when building the PC, would it be better, worse or it doesn't matter?
Top Comment: Absolutely does not matter.
